Thanksgiving Project

Its that time of year again Kim @ The Newly Woodwards is hosting the Dare to Do it Yourself Blog Party! Today's topic is Dare to be thankful. We were supposed to make our own DIY Thanksgiving project.

Soon as Kim annouced the party I knew what I wanted to make...

I loved the look of Moss & Silver at Pottery Barn last year and took note... Then I took note again when YHL posted this photo they took there.

So here's what I did, I rolled foam balls in two types of moss.

Sprayed Pine Cones Metalic Silver...

And placed it all in a natural weave basket...

I loved it so much but I knew someone that would love it more, my Aunt Lois. So this weekend while we were up at her property hunting I did just that.

Here it is sitting in its new home:

I just love how it turned out. I'm sure this isn't the last you will hear of me making moss balls and spraying something silver paint :+)

  2. I love the moss and acorns together. I hadn't seen that before, but I don't have PB by me (sob!). This looks very classy and will go into Christmas, too, with a little more sparkle.

Thanks for joining in. I so appreciate it.

Where did you get the moss?
If you could let me know that would be great, I am thinking about using it in a wedding.
