I like to think there are parts about me that are classy. I love sipping $60 bottles of red wine over dinner while eating escargot. Not that it happens often.
Then there's the deeper roots. The ones that loves dollar store sunglasses, fried fish, muddy river banks, tire swings and trashy country music. As a matter of fact Sammy Kershaw's 'Queen of my double wide trailer" is serenading me right now. Next up, Dwight Yoakam's "Gutairs & Cadillacs".
So there's that.
Anyway, I guess I'm jabbering on to tell you I realize I haven't posted anything of a 'juicy' caliber in a week or so but then my ADHD or OCD got a hold of me and I started talking about being trashy.
Sorry about that.
I wish I could say it's going to get better but tomorrow I'm only going to post another giveaway. Which is awesome for those of you that love giveaways… It's just that right now I've just been on a spring cleaning binge.
I've even gone as far to move my dried goods into clean canisters and hand washing the spice jars... kind of binge. Maybe it's me nesting prior to the baby or maybe my OCD has taken over for good, in that case we are all screwed. And everything will be labeled.
I can report that yesterday I started painting a bookcase (which I'm calling progress since I've had it for months I needed to decide on colors). Then last night a storm came out of no where blew it and my sawhorses all over the yard. Seeing as how I haven't put on a bra or shoes the damage hasn't been accessed. I'm hoping it's nothing a light sanding can't fix. We'll see.
I'm also starting to work on the mobile for the nursery. In my head anyway, it's going to be awesome once I actually make it, I hope.
Now for a moment of silence... Billy Ray Cyrus just came on.
I joke.
About the silence. Mr. A totally downloaded Achy Breaky Heart on itunes some time last week… feel free to laugh at him in the comments section. While you at it laugh at me too since I haven't bothered to change it and I'm lip singing.
Ok, I think I've rambled on about me not writing long enough to even make myself questing the fact if this is an actual post or not. So before I talk myself out of hitting publish I'm going to do it.
As a matter of fact if you are still reading this - You are my hero, you patient soul you.
PS: If you are still bored or if you just need a laugh this morning check out this ass penny video (compliments of Mr. A's internet browsing this morning).
PPS: I felt this post needed a photo… (It's like I don't know when to stop while I'm ahead).
Ah...I love when you make me laugh first thing in the morning! I hope the baby gets your awesome(somewhat crazy) sense of humor and way of looking at the world!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo. You know I can relate to that "trashy" side! :) In fact, the other day, Ethan had to get in on the wrong side of the car, and I said, "Climb over bubba's seat." Yes, I referred to my unborn child as "bubba." I'm not proud.
